“May Hashem answer you on a day of distress” (Tehillim 20:2) - this can be compared to a father and son who were walking along the road. The son became tired. He said to his father, “Where is the town we are going to?”

The father answered, “My son, this is the sign that we are approaching it. When you see a cemetery, you can be sure that the town is near.”

Likewise, the Holy One, blessed is He, said, “If you see that troubles engulf you, know that soon you will be redeemed” (Midrash Tehillim 20).

At the time of the exodus from Egypt, Hashem told Moshe to inform the Children of Israel of the impending redemption. Afterward, Moshe was commanded to go to Pharaoh and ask him to let the people leave Egypt. Pharaoh refused to listen to Hashem, hardened his heart, and made conditions harsher for them. The Jewish people complained to Moshe that his request to Pharaoh made things worse for them. Moshe returned to G-D and asked Him, “Why have you done evil to this people; why have You sent me? From the time I came to Pharaoh to speak in Your name, he did evil to this people, but you did not rescue Your people” (Shemos 5:22-23). G-D answered him, “Now you will see what I will do to Pharaoh, for with a strong hand he will drive them from his land” (Shemos 6:1).

The Kli Yakar explains this dialogue between G-D and Moshe as follows: Moshe’s understanding was that if the decrees on the people became harsher, it must be a sign that the redemption was still far off. That was his complaint: Why did Hashem command him to tell the people about the redemption so far in advance? Wouldn’t this discourage them and lead them to despair? Hashem told him he was wrong. The newly increased severity of Pharaoh’s decrees was an optical illusion, so to speak. The harsh decrees were a sign of just the opposite - that redemption was near. “Now you will see,” Hashem said to Moshe, “that redemption is closer than ever. For when evil is about to complete its mission in this world, it gets more intense in an attempt to last a bit linger, in its final death throes.”

This is the way of the world. When a natural force nears it’s end, it shows stronger resistance, so to speak, in a battle to survive.

So it is in the spiritual realm. When evil gets stronger, this increased power is itself a sign that the evil is about to give way to the redemption waiting to emerge.

Our sages tell us (Midrash Daniel 12:11) that the verse “It will be a time of distress the likes of which there there had never been from when they became a nation util that time, and at that time, Your people will escape” (Daniel 12:1) refers to the birth pangs of Moshiach. Just as a woman in childbirth has no greater moment of distress than the moment of birth, which is followed by relief and reaffirmation of life, so it will be for the Jewish people at that time. They will experience relief and salvation from their enemies when Moshiach is revealed, and no longer will they suffer anguish and sorrow. In this vein, the prophet Yirmiyahu said when he foresaw the birth pangs of Moshiach, “Ask now and see is a male has ever given birth. Why [then], do I see that every man puts his hand upon his loins like a woman in childbirth, and all the faces turn pallid? Woe! For that day will be momentous, there is nothing like it; it will be a time of distress for Yaakov, but he will be saved from it” (Yirmiyahu 30:6-7)

In short, at the time of “the footsteps of Moshiach,” evil will increase in the world and be readily apparent. This is good news for the approaching redemption, for many will learn to identify it for what it is. Then they will abandon it and improve themselves in the direction of absolute good. Others, who aso search for perfection in their way, will become more evil and distance themselves completely from Judaism.

When evil intensifies and becomes clearly identifiable, it causes people to abandon it. Evil thus becomes helpful in turning people to good, and this is actually evil’s rectification at the End of Days.

We’ve seen a huge wave of Jews all over the world waking up from the current war and the atrocities of October 7th. People are so revolted by the unadulterated hatred of our enemies and their supporters that it is pushing them and us to choose a side. It makes us want to cling and get close to what is holy and pure. Tens of thousands of Jews are now committed to keeping Shabbos, to wearing Tzittzit and Teffilin, to dressing more Tzanuah, and to bring more meaning in our lives. May this all be zchut to bring Moshiach with tremendous mercy and love and may the worst already be behind us.

When you watch a video like the one above, the Yetzer Harah can make you think that you’re not doing anything or doing enough, but Hashem is looking at every single Jew during this time and seeing who considers themselves part of Klal Yisroel. Again, this doesn’t mean you have to go beyond what you’re capable of, but when literally millions of Jews in Israel and around the world are doing something for the sake of all of us. Begging for Hashem’s mercy and pleading that Hashem should redeem us now! That Hashem should protect our soldiers and bring home our hostages. We are all in this together and when we are all in it together we will win! Hashem will save us and Hashem will redeem us!

Is there any other nation in the history of the world that comes together like us? That loves each other like we do? This is real! We really feel it because our neshamas are 100% connected to each other. It can’t be explained. Mi Kiamcha Yisroel???

This is of course a well known passuk from this past weeks Parsha Lech Lecha. It is worth it to look in Rashi as well as into hos Unkelos translates this, but I want to quote from a Sefer called "Redemption Unfolding" by: Rav Alexander Aryeh Mandelbaum.Page 20. It is worth getting this sefer and reading the full chapter on this topic.

An Eternal Character Trait

We should not be fooled into thinking that "pere" is a superficial trait of Yoshmoel's; rather, it is at the very root of his character. To emphasize this, the Torah ignores Hebrew grammar, so to speak, by placing the adjective (pere) before the proper noun (odom), thus giving emphasis to the character trait (Rav Yehoshua Leib Diskin). That is to say, Yishmoel is not a man (odom) with a wild (pere) character. He is a wild character (pere) who takes the form of a man (odom)! His essence is more pere than odom.

This is to be Yishmoel's personality until the end of days - it is not naturally subject to alteration, even by reducation or societal pressure. "Our Torah us eternal, and when it says that 'he will be a pere odom,' it means that Yishmoel will forever remain a pere odom," the Chofetz Chaim is quoted as saying (MiShulchan Gavoah, page 78). "Even if cultured nations of the world attempt to make him into a restrained character, they cannot succeed because he is in essence unrestrained." The Chofetz Chaim then sighed and concluded: "Oy! Who knows what that pere odom is liable to do to Am Yisroel at the end of days...!"

As I was watching this for the 20th+ time I cried even harder and said Ribono Shel Olam! Can you imagine what it will be like when you redeem us? We will run to you and hug you and scream out in joy on the day of our redemption. Your love for us is stronger than the love between parents and our children. We love you so much!

Please bring Moshiach Now!

At a recent large assembly in Jerusalem, a prominent Italian parliamentarian informed the Minister of Tradition that Rome holds the Jewish Temple's vessels and wishes to repatriate them to Israel.

Rabbi Shmuel Eliyahu, Chief Rabbi of Safed and son of the former Chief Rabbi Mordechai Eliyahu, as well as the father of the present Minister of Tradition, Amichai Eliyahu, conveyed a significant message. He shared that an influential member of Italy's governing party reached out to his son. This Italian parliamentarian revealed Rome's possession of the sacred Jewish Temple vessels and expressed the intention to return them to Israel.

Rabbi Eliyahu relayed that this high-ranking Italian official sought a virtual meeting with Israel’s Minister of Tradition, emphasizing its utmost importance. During their discussion, the Italian representative shared his perspective:

"From my office, I have a clear view of the Arch of Titus, a monumental and hard-to-miss structure. It prominently showcases Jewish slaves bearing the Jewish Temple’s artifacts into exile. Two millennia ago, we overcame you. We razed your Temple, inflicted great suffering on your people, and dispersed the Jews globally. Perhaps, as Jewish tradition suggests, this was warranted. However, after these 2000 years, Israel has transformed. With your return to the Land of Israel, perhaps it's also fitting that these artifacts come home. Gd's promise of your return seems to be manifesting now."

Rabbi Yitzhak stated, the year in which the King Moshiach comes, all of the kingdoms of the world are at war with each other.

The King of Persia attacks the King of Arabia… and all of the nations are confounded in fear… and Israel is in panic and trembling and says, ‘Where shall we flee to and where shall we go?' And Hashem says to them, ‘My children, fear not. All which I have done, I have done for your sake alone. Why are you frightened? Fear not. The time of Redemption has come'” (Yalkut Shimoni, Isaiah, Remez, 499).

[The Posuk in Parshas Bolok quotes Bilaam’s prophecy,] “I will advise you what this nation [the Jews] will do to your nation [the Moabites] at the end of days [באחרית הימים] (Bamidbar 24:10). This refers to the end of the days of Yomtov which is Simchas Torah. Then, due to our great aveiros, the Satan will rule and do almost exactly what Bilaam had advised. There would be a mixture of men and women, young men and young women, dancing like rams and goats, and foxes will dance there. And this, due to our numerous sins, will make a great gap, losing all of the good they merited during Days of Awe like these. Woe, Bilaam’s advice that will be done in the end of days.

The idea is not to Chas V’Shalom place blame on anyone, but to see how careful we need to be as a nation in our Holy Land.

When seeing something like this I believe it is always important to 1) See if it’s real and 2) to read the context before and after it.

The Zohar (Midrash Ne'elam, Toldos 140a), says that Techiyas HaMeisim, "Resurrection of the Dead," will begin no later than 210 years before the year 6000 from creation, or by the Jewish year 5790 (2030 CE)- 7 Years from now.

The printed pages of this Zohar is actually included in the sefer, but feel free to look it up as well.

Now we know Moshiach can come at anytime, but we also know he must come before Techiyas HaMeisim happens. So anytime between now and 7 years we can expect to hear the shofar of redemption. Based on what is currently happening in the world it seems sooner than later.

We sing it, we ask for it, we wait for it.

But why don’t we talk about it?

Moshiach is as an important aspect of our religion as any other. The upcoming 3rd redemption is promised by Hashem and will usher in the final years of our life in this world.

It seems that people have a hard time talking about it. Like if you do, then people may think you’re Chabad (which is not a bad thing) or a conspiracy theorist (probably not a good thing) or that you think your a Navi etc.. But we should be comfortable talking about Moshiach as we are about Shabbos or Kashrus. But why don’t we? Why is it not as real to us as any other Mitzvah in the Torah?

I don’t know who said it first, but there is a well-known quote “People fear what they don’t understand”.

There are hundreds if not thousands of sources about Moshiach in our Holy Torah and the more we look into it, the better we understand. The more we understand, the easier it is and the more comforting it is to handle the chvlei moshiach, the birth pangs. When we look at the sources and listen to our Rabbanim it will instill in us a greater Emuna that everything that is happening is 100% in Hashem’s control and it is our loving Father that is doing it.

Hamas are just puppets.

The World Leaders are just speaking with Hashem allows them to say.

Our job now is to hold on tight and increase our Emuna and daven for a geulah with Rachamim. We do our physical hishtadlus since that is how Hashem set-up the world, but we need to keep in mind who is running the show.

Don’t be afraid to say it out loud. Moshiach is on his way. He can come anytime and the way things are looking, that time is now. B’Ezras Hashem!
